Und: Der etwas absurde Titel kommt wohl von einem in den USA weit verbreiteten Auto-Aufkleber: WWJD? Soll hei\u00dfen: What would Jesus do? Ein Vergleich, der die Suchmaschinen-Firma auf eine ganz neue Stufe hebt. <\/p>\n<p>Jarvis ist mittlerweile nicht nur Journalist, er wird gerne auch als Web-Spezialist zu allen m\u00f6glichen wichtigen Tagungen eingeladen. Auf dem World Economic Forum in Davos 2008 wurde er zu einer der 100 einflussreichsten Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten der Medienwelt gew\u00e4hlt. <\/p>\n<p>Auf mehr als 400 Seiten versucht er in dem Buch darzulegen, warum Google in (fast) allem Recht hat und was man daraus lernen kann &#8211; f\u00fcrs Web oder auch f\u00fcrs Leben. Und auch wenn das jetzt moraltheologisch klingt, das Lesen macht trotzdem Spass, wenn man aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Medienwelt aufmerksam verfolgt. <\/p>\n<p>Jarvis analysiert Google, seine Regeln und Ethik, seine Strategie. Mit &#8222;Wenn Google die Welt regierte&#8220; versucht er das auf alle m\u00f6glichen Wirtschaftszweige zu \u00fcbertragen. Manchmal ist das lustig, manchmal spannend, manchmal absurd. So muss er denn auch offen zugeben, dass er selbst mit dem Buch gegen so ziemlich alles verst\u00f6sst, was er darin predigt. Sonst m\u00fcsste er n\u00e4mlich kein Buch herausgeben, sondern die Inhalte im Internet frei zug\u00e4nglich machen, als Open Source sozusagen, von der Community weiterentwickeln lassen und als Plattform f\u00fcr viele andere Menschen zug\u00e4nglich machen. <\/p>\n<p>Letztlich &#8211; so ist die Welt &#8211; hat er den Buchverlag gew\u00e4hlt, um relativ schnell und einfach an die Kohle zu kommen. So viel zu Theorie und Praxis&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Dennoch wird jeder, der sich im Web bewegt und vielleicht eigene Angebote dort unterh\u00e4lt, viele Anregungen bekommen. Und auch diejenigen, die (noch( glauben, ihre Welt sei und bleibe von den Entwicklungen im Web unber\u00fchrt, wird das zu denken geben.<\/p>\n<p>Gute und informative Unterhaltung, entgegen dem ersten Eindruck ohne erhobenen Zeigefinger.
